Simply Spoken Therapy is a cash-based speech therapy clinic. This means that we do not bill insurance companies for our services and are considered out of network for all insurance companies. As a client, you are responsible for covering the cost of speech therapy. We accept cash, credit card, check, or flex spending and health savings account cards.

Our rates are competitive and reflect the time we save.

Health insurance is ever changing and copays and deductibles continue to skyrocket. These changes have made working with insurance companies increasingly more time consuming. The movement towards private pay clinics and medical centers its proving to be beneficial for both the practitioners and clients.


  1. Cost Effective Care

A substantial amount of time is spent contacting insurance companies for explanation of benefits, confirming for coverage, filing claims, disputing denials, and collecting payments. By limiting the amount of time needed to contact the insurance company, we are able to spend more time with direct client contact and eliminate the need for additional office staff.

  1. Accessibility

With the private pay business model, providers are given direct access to services. There is no need to get a referral from your doctor or prior authorization from the insurance company. This means clients are starting services right away with little to no wait list.

  1. Inclusive

All patients are welcomed at Simply Spoken Therapy. It does not matter if you have insurance coverage or not or if we are in or out of network.

The only exception is if your child receives support from state funded Medicaid programs. In the state of Wisconsin, families who receive support from Medicaid are NOT able to revoke these rights to receive services from a provider who is not contracted with Medicaid. If this is the case, we cannot provide you with treatment at our clinic but we can help you find a good Medicaid provider in your area.

  1. Integrity

By eliminating an insurance companies participation in our practice, we are also limiting the amount of control they have over YOUR personal care. This allows the client and the practitioner to determine the appropriate frequency and duration of sessions without arbitrary limits on sessions set by the company. We will not compromise our therapeutic integrity.


For clients who have out of network benefits and would like to submit for reimbursement you should be able to print claim forms off your insurance company’s website, and send it in with the needed receipts and treatment codes that will be provided upon request at our clinic. The amount of reimbursement or application towards your deductible is completely dependent on your insurance plan. If you call your insurance company to inquire about what you can expect to receive, you should ask about reimbursement for “out-of-network Speech Therapy” expenses sent in via self-claims.
